Lanier Mansion State Historic Site     812-265-3526
The Lanier Mansion is an 1840\'s Greek Revival style of architecture. The Mansion\'s south portico faces the Ohio River. Exterior details include Corinthian columns, an octagonal cupola, oculus windows, and iron railings. The interior, with it\'s elegant staircase, has been restored to the time of the home\'s original owner, J.F.D. Lanier. The formal gardens have been restored to the late 19th century time period.
