Over the past four hundred years, Indians, Hispanic settlers, Anglo immigrants, desperadoes and dance hall girls have all called us home. Besides plenty to see and do, Las Vegas has the most hospitable bunch of folks anywhere in America.

A wealth of outdoor activities including skiing, hiking, camping, windsurfing, golf, and more. We have a unique Fourth of July Fiestas. Originally a religious celebration, Fiestas and the Fourth of July observance teamed up some years ago and became a celebration of the founding of the United States and recognition of Hispanic culture.

Other local events include Places With a Past Historic Buildings Tour - where generous property owners open their doors and volunteer docents guide you through these buildings that give insight into the town\'s history that can\'t be gained in any other manner. The People\'s Faire has universal appeal with entertainment, craft items, story telling, food, and events for all ages.

For the Christmas Season The Electric Light Parade has grown in just a few years to include more than 35 floats, attracts state wide attention, and is the event that kicks the holiday season into high gear.
